- This standard establishes test methods for the purpose of experimental determination and calculation procedures for determining the crack resistance characteristics of structural materials of equipment and pipelines of nuclear power plants under conditions of stable and unstable crack development under short-term loading, as well as under cyclic and long-term static loading. This standard is intended for use when carrying out calculations to justify the strength of equipment and pipelines of nuclear power plants, which are subject to federal rules and regulations in the field of atomic energy use [1]. The applicability of materials for the manufacture of equipment and pipelines of nuclear power plants specified in 1.2 is regulated by federal norms and rules in the field of atomic energy use [1]
