In some cases, this equipment may be accessible to the public. Note: While persons working in many laboratory situations are considered to be qualified persons in the sense that they have been trained to carry out specific repetitive procedures involv ing the use of electrical equipment, it is assumed in this Standard that the scope of the training does not warrant the use of equipment that presents a shock hazard from exposed live parts. 1.4 This Standard does not apply to electromedical equipment within the meaning of CSA Standard C22.2 No. 125, Electromedical Equipment. 1.5 This Standard does not apply to industrial process equipment , control, and instrumentation. 1.6 This Standard does not include requirements for X-ray equipment or similar equipment intended to emit alpha, beta, or gamma radiation.
