Scope

This document applies to water-cooled reactor nuclear power plants. This document does not apply to earthquakes that exceed the design basis earthquake. This document provides guidance on actions to be taken before and after an earthquake at a nuclear power plant. This document is intended to serve as a guide for decisions on continued operation, shutdown, and restart of nuclear power plants after an earthquake.
