Scope
This test method covers the determination of the fatigue damage resistance of asphalt binders by cyclic loading and linearly increasing load amplitudes. A dynamic shear rheometer (DSR) is used to perform amplitude sweeps at the road performance temperature determined from the PG grade of the asphalt binder according to specification M 320. This test method can be used to simulate the fatigue resistance of in-service asphalt pavement binders after RTFOT aging (T 240) and PAV aging (R 28) treatments.
