With the country's emphasis on ecological civilization construction, green construction has become an inevitable trend in the fields of construction and municipal engineering. GB/T 50640-2023 standard has been comprehensively revised on the original basis, expanding the connotation and extension of green construction, emphasizing "people-oriented" and technological innovation. This standard is applicable to the green construction evaluation of construction projects such as new construction, expansion, reconstruction and demolition, and municipal engineering projects such as roads, bridges and tunnels.
The new standard is divided into 9 chapters, the main contents of which include general principles, terminology, basic regulations, environmental protection evaluation indicators, resource conservation evaluation indicators, human resource conservation and protection evaluation indicators, technological innovation evaluation indicators, evaluation methods, evaluation organizations and procedures. Compared with the old version, a new chapter on "human resource conservation and protection" has been added, and relevant requirements in the field of municipal engineering have been added.
| Evaluation Dimensions | Control Items | General Items | Preferred Items |
|---|---|---|---|
| Environmental Protection | Basic requirements such as dust control, exhaust gas emissions, and construction waste disposal. | On-site signage, dust suppression measures, vehicle washing facilities, etc. | Automatic monitoring system, high-efficiency dust reduction technology, water seal blasting technology, etc. |
| Resource Conservation | Temporary facility planning, material management, water resource utilization, etc. | Energy-saving lighting, water-saving appliances, prefabricated temporary housing, etc. | BIM technology application, new formwork system, solar energy utilization, etc. |
| Human resource protection | Occupational disease prevention, real-name management, health examination, etc. | Sanitary facilities, heatstroke prevention and cooling measures, safety training, etc. | Automated construction equipment, assembly installation technology, mental health services, etc. |
Technological innovation is an important driving force for green construction. The new standard increases the weight of technological innovation evaluation indicators and encourages construction units to adopt assembly construction technology, information construction technology and environmentally friendly materials. For example, steel structure welding-free technology, mechanical spraying equipment and modular installation process.
A large-scale municipal project has improved construction efficiency while saving resources by introducing BIM technology and prefabricated construction. The recycling rate of construction waste has reached 50%, and the water and energy saving effects are significant. It has been rated as an excellent green construction project.
