This standard specifies the characteristics for the training of mechanics specialized in earthmoving machines. It does not specify any method to determine qualification or competence, as these factors are subject to local and national practices and regulations. This standard, therefore, is not intended to replace any of the national regulations or standards in force. It applies to all earthmoving machines, as defined in the UNE 115-405 standard.
