The purpose of this standard is to specify the general requirements for electrical disturbance tests for measurement relays and static protection equipment. The tests may also be applied, where appropriate, to electromechanical relays, for example, high speed or high sensitivity relays. The requirements only apply to relays or equipment in new condition.
