This European Standard specifies the general criteria for the procedures used in the evaluation of testing laboratories, including calibration laboratories, regardless of the sector to which they belong. It is intended to be used by testing laboratories and their accreditation bodies, as well as other bodies concerned with the recognition of the competence of testing laboratories. This set of criteria may need to be completed when applied to a given sector.
