This standard describes the test method for determining the adhesion between two layers of fabric bonded with an elastomer or between a layer of fabric and one of elastomer. The described method is applicable only when the surface of the layers is approximately flat or cylindrical, and in the latter case, with a diameter greater than approximately 50 mm. For surfaces that have bends, pronounced angles or other considerable irregularities that cannot be avoided when preparing the specimens, special methods must be used. For hoses and similar items with an internal diameter equal to or less than 50 mm, the method described in standard UNE 53-574/1 must be used.
