This standard applies to beans grown from various varieties (cultivars) of Phaseolus vulgaris L. and Phaseolus coccineus L. and provided to consumers in a fresh state, excluding beans for pod removal or processing. This standard specifies the quality requirements for beans during the export control period after pretreatment and packaging.
