- This standard is intended for use by organizations involved in the development and operation of space systems for remote sensing of the Earth, in the creation (reception) of data and the generation of products for remote sensing of the Earth from space. This standard establishes requirements for conducting satellite imagery for space systems for remote sensing of the Earth in the mid-wave and long-wave infrared ranges in order to solve problems of data validation, checking the measurement characteristics of target equipment for remote sensing of the Earth from space, as well as assessing the quality of remote sensing data of the Earth from space
