Analysis of the core content of the standard
GB/T 43566-2023 standard systematically specifies the full life cycle management requirements for artificial turf football fields in primary and secondary schools, mainly including:
- Field classification system: divided into three categories according to purpose: competition/teaching/training, and divided into 11-a-side/7-a-side/5-a-side according to specifications
- Technical indicator system: includes 7 categories and 32 specific indicators, among which the physical and mechanical performance requirements are shown in the table below

Key technological innovations
1. Safety performance upgrade
New mandatory technical requirements for cushion pads, stipulating that the thickness must be ≥10mm and the impact absorption must be controlled within the range of 30%-50%, effectively reducing the risk of sports injuries.
2. Strengthening environmental protection requirements
Dual requirements for synthetic material filling particles:
- Total amount of phthalates ≤1.0g/kg
- TVOC release ≤3.0mg/(m²·h)

Construction quality control
- Foundation flatness requirements: gap under 3m ruler ≤3mm and qualified rate ≥85%
- Joint treatment specifications: connection belt width ≥20cm, key area ≥30cm
- Filling particle thickness control: exposed grass height ≤30% of total grass height
Acceptance and inspection process
1. Raw material entry inspection Test for hazardous substances in accordance with GB 36246 2. Completion inspection Includes 6 physical performance tests such as impact absorption 3. Type inspection At least one full-item inspection per year
Solutions to common problems
Case: Abnormal site drainage treatment
After construction, water accumulated on the site of a middle school. The following were found after testing:
- Cause of the problem: The horizontal slope of the foundation layer is ＞3% of the standard requirement
- Corrective measures: Use a level to verify the slope. After re-leveling, the water seepage rate meets the standard of 200mm/h
Maintenance recommendations
Three elements of regular maintenance:
- Comb the grass strands monthly to keep them upright
- Check seam strength quarterly
- Test physical performance degradation annually
