Scope
The performance analyst, government regulatory
agencies, vehicle manufacturers, and
spacecraft communities need a standard set
of orbit missions and launch sites to accommodate
comparisons of launch vehicle payload
capability. A set of common definitions
allows easy comparisons when selecting
launch configurations, setting and paying
fees for launch services, and allowing measured
quantitative comparison between
vehicles and capabilities.
