Scope

This document stipulates the operation, technical requirements and test methods for wire and cable joints (referred to as joints), connecting pipes and wire cores (referred to as crimping) for cold-pressed connection, and recommends the type and size of crimping molds (referred to as compression molds). This document is applicable to partial (pressure pit) and overall (circumferential pressure) crimping of joints, connecting tubes and wire cores. This document should be used together with CB*394 "Cold Pressed Wire and Cable Joints".
