- This standard specifies the definition, design requirements, performance requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of fire-fighting gloves. This standard applies to gloves worn by firefighters during fire fighting and rescue operations. This standard does not apply to special gloves used for special firefighting operations in high-risk situations, nor to chemical, biological, electrical, electromagnetic, nuclear radiation and other dangerous places.
