Scope

This part of MT 818 specifies the product classification and nomenclature, technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules for coal shearer flexible cables (hereinafter referred to as cables) with rated voltages of 1.9/3.3kV and below. This section applies to copper core rubber sheathed flexible cables for coal shearers and similar equipment with rated voltages of 1.9/3.3kV and below.
